Introducing Sip and Sew

Every Wed 1:30-3:30 we will meet for a cup of tea, stitch on whatever project you wish, enjoy good company and chat with friends. Help will be available to get those projects finished! Projects may include piecing, appliqué or whatever you are working on.

Elementary Quilting

Learn all the basics of quilting in this great beginner class. You will learn correct cutting techniques, how to strip pieces, basic appliqué and working with basic shapes.

Mystery Quilt

We will meet every Saturday for 6 months. A step will be provided and demonstrated each month as we reveal step by step the secrets of this stunning mystery quilt. After purchasing your initial fabric for the mystery quilt you may pick up your instructions any time after the first Sat of the current month. You do not have to attend the demonstration class.

Table Décor

Join us each month as we make a variety of items to decorate your table – we will be making table runners, table toppers, cloths, placemats and other decorative items. Kits will be available for the various projects on the morning of the class. A great series to dress up your dining room and create perfect hostess gifts for all your friends!

Silk Ribbon Renaissance

This is the cover project from Helen Eriksson’s book of the same name. We will work our way step by step each month to create this gorgeous masterpiece in silk ribbon. Beginning silk ribbon embroidery skills required.

In Full Bloom

Get inspired to make this gorgeous new block of the month quilt from McKenna Ryan – each panel is a treat and would make a great wallhanging,  and the entire quilt is wonderful. We will meet each month to learn the fusible appliqué technique, work on the different blocks and troubleshoot any problems.

Christmas Club

Want to get a jump start on gifts for next Christmas? Join us each month as we stitch a variety of projects that will make perfect gifts or spruce up your home for the next holiday season. By the time Christmas rolls around again you will have a stash of new items ready to go! We will be making stockings, ornaments, table toppers, runners and lap size quilts. Kits for each project will be available, patterns included with the class. We will also have a surprise project we will work on throughout the year!

Back to Basics – Let’s Do Triangles

Make a Quilt for Baby

Need a stash of baby quilts for friends and relatives? This is the perfect club for you. We will meet each month and work on a different quilt from Alex Anderson’s book. You should be able to sew most of the quilt in the class.

2007 Saturday Sampler

Sign up now for next years Saturday Sampler quilt – a great design with a collection of wonderful star blocks. After your initial fee you will receive the fabrics, excluding background, to make each block at no charge each month. You must come to the demonstration class to get your free block and pattern. If you miss a class it will cost $5.00 for the block. You choose your own background color to set off these colorful stars. A variety of settings will be discussed to give your quilt a unique finish!  Show and tell is encouraged and tickets provided for at the end of the year for a basket of goodies each time you bring something new for show and tell. Great fun!

We are still working out the details of the projects, but rest assured they will be fabulous! This session we are beginning a series of quilts – making new versions of an old (and sometimes tired) antique quilt. Silk Cocoon Needlecase

The Silk Caccon Needlecase is so cute, you will want to make several for you and your friends. You will learn the techniques involved with creating the doll faces from the cocoons as well as the several beading techniques to complete the needlecase.

Class Policy
1. We require full payment at the time of registration, otherwise we cannot guarantee your spot.
2. A full refund will be made if it is necessary for us to cancel the class.
3. Store credit will be given if you cancel your registration at least one week prior to the first class session.
3. Classes will be cancelled one week prior to the first session if enrollment is not sufficient.
4. All students will receive a 10% discount on all supplies required for the class.
5. Space in a class may be reserved via phone at (970) 223-4269 with credit card payment for class fees.
6. Please make sure your machine is in proper working order and that you pick up a supply list prior to each class.
7. We request that no children be brought to class.
